About.com Teams With Healthology To Offer Expanded Health Video Content
NEW YORK (October 17, 2006)- About.com announced today that it has teamed with Healthology to offer visitors to About.com Health (http://health.about.com) access to more than 1000 physician-generated videos on key topics including asthma, heart disease and cholesterol, depression, cancer, nutrition, hair loss, sleep and a spectrum of other condition areas.

"Through this relationship, we can now offer an even more visual and interactive way to experience trusted health information on the critical topics relevant to most users," said Marjorie L. Martin, general manager, About.com Health. "Because this content is created by physicians, users can be confident the information is coming from a credible source."

Visitors to About.com Health will be able to access the expanded video library through a video player developed jointly by About.com and Healthology. The video player will also include relevant articles from About.com Health Guides.

"Healthology has worked hard to create a broad and deep health and medical library through the active participation of a nationwide network of thousands of medical experts committed to sharing their insights with the public," said Steven Haimowitz, M.D. and president, Healthology. "We are very pleased to offer this unique resource to About.com Health and are confident that it will be very highly utilized by About.com visitors."

About.com will offer the Healthology content in addition to its existing library of health videos. About.com recently unveiled new health videos on a range of topics, including the new food pyramid and avian flu.
