About.com introduces 3 new 'GuideSite's', offering even more advice, practical information
NEW YORK (Jan. 10, 2006) - About.com, the top 10 site and largest publisher of original content on the Web, recently announced the addition of three new "GuideSite's" to its already rich offerings. Constantly expanding its broad reach and depth, About.com provides content from over 500 experts or "Guides" who share their passions, useful information and advice on over 57,000 topics.
Currently live at About.com, the new GuideSite's provide resources, insight and perspective on all aspects of their topics, which include:
Guides on these topics will offer About.com users an informed perspective, speaking with authority, personal experience and real field knowledge. For instance, Brian Koerner, the About.com Guide to Identity Theft, says, "Crimes of identity theft and fraud can have a major financial and emotional impact on victims for many years. It is my passion to provide you the information, resources and tools to help you protect your privacy and identity."
"We are pleased to welcome these new Guides to About.com," said Mike Daecher, senior vice president, Content and Guide Operations. "Like all of our Guides, they will strive to offer the voice-of-reason, providing answers to a question, solving a problem, or teaching something new."
Another new addition to About.com is a New Year's Resolutions section, adds Daecher. The special section features content aimed at helping people share their experiences and achieve their goals. Online tools include free e-courses, online newsletters, RSS feeds and a new series of blogs from real individuals undertaking common resolutions such as weight loss, smoking cessation, and personal finance.About About.com
